When dressage trainer and rider Ruth Hogan Poulsen injured her shoulder in October, she was faced with a long recovery. So she put her creative energies to work and developed another series of CD’s popular with dressage riders and trainers.

“My doctors have assured me I am healing according to schedule,” said Ruth, “but I still will not be able to ride until March of 2010.” So Ruth focused on an aspect of her business which has always been successful – music and Freestyles. Poulsen Dressage LLC then took it to the next level. Ruth Hogan Poulsen has been designing musical freestyles and teaching amateurs and professionals to ride to music for over a decade. The most frequent comments Ruth received from riders were: “I want to have fun” and “I want the right music for my horse.”  Ruth also kept track of the issues riders had with their riding and creating their freestyles. In response to those issues and challenges, Ruth created a solution – a great set of music CDs called Riding With Soul™.

Now back in Florida at Poulsen Dressage LLC – South is not missing a “beat” in spite of her recovering. We have nine horses in training and I am teaching teaching teaching.” said Ruth. And she has just been cleared to begin riding her Equicizer horse, but that’s another story for another day!
