The Emerging Dressage Athlete Clinic (EDAP) will be June 21-22 and the Dressage4Kids Lendon Youth Dressage Festival Midwest (LYDFM) June 23, 2013 at Hampton Green Farm, Fruitport, Michigan. The Emerging Dressage Athlete Clinic (EDAP) is a two-day intensive training clinic with Lendon Gray for riders who are selected via application. The program is for Dressage competitors under the age of 21. Riders are selected based on a riding video, copies of tests, an application letter and recommendations. For an application [CLICK HERE] The Lendon Youth Dressage Festival Midwest (LYDFM) will take place Sunday, June 23, 2013, a one-day version of the Lendon Gray Youth Festival: a highly successful multi-phase dressage show for riders under 21 at all levels, to be held at Hampton Green Farm in Fruitport, Michigan. The format includes 3 Divisions – a Written Test, a Dressage Test, and an Equitation Test. All ages and levels welcome. Teams may also compete. With top international riders as judges, lecturers and commentators the event is full of fun learning.Lendon Gray said about the Emerging Dressage Athletes Program (EDAP), “We are excited to see kids from the Midwest learn and be a part of a group of up and coming dressage riders. This Festival gives loads of kids an opportunity to ride with top international caliber riders and coaches who don’t normally have the chance for such quality instruction. It’s important to encourage these dedicated young riders with talent who might not normally get the chance to develop their riding to their highest level.”

More info on the The Lendon Youth Dressage Festival Midwest (LYDFM) Sunday, June 23, 2013: Who May Compete: Age: All riders 21 and under. The FEI age rule applies, which is the age the rider reaches in the calendar year. For example, if the rider becomes 21 years old in 2012, the rider is eligible, but if the rider becomes 22 years old in 2012, the rider is not. If the rider turns 12 anytime in the year 2012, the rider is considered to be 12 for the show. Horse may be ridden by one rider in two consecutive Divisions or two riders in the same or different Divisions. A horse may compete in two Divisions only. The welfare of the horse is of utmost importance. Two competitors riding the same horse must keep this in mind when entering.

Arenas: All arenas are sand, warm-up on grass. Lunging allowed in the lunging ring only.
