USEF Announces Horse/Rider Combinations for 2010 Exquis World Dressage Masters

Lexington, KY – The United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) has announced the seven horse/rider combinations that have been named to represent the United States at the Exquis World Dressage Masters in Wellington, FL February 4-6, 2010. The group of seven includes Steffen Peters and Ravel, the 2009 USEF Equestrian and Horse of the Year and the reigning FEI World Cup Champions and Leslie Morse and Tip Top 962, the reigning Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF National Grand Prix Dressage Champions. The following combinations will compete in the only CDI5* held in the US: Rider/Age/Hometown/Horse/Age/Breed/Sex/Owner

  • Steffen Peters/45/San Diego, CA/Ravel/12/KWPN/G/Four Winds Farm
  • Leslie Morse/48/Beverly Hills, CA/Tip Top 962/16/Swedish Warmblood/S/Leslie Morse and Laura Petroff
  • Lauren Sammis/39/South Orange, NJ/Sagacious HF/11/Royal Dutch Warmblood/G/Hyperion Farms, Inc
  • Tina Konyot/48/Palm City, FL/Calecto V/12/Danish Warmblood/S/Tina Konyot and John Byrialsen
  • Michael Barisone/45/Long Valley, NJ/Olympus/14/KWPN/G/Nancy Binter
  • Elisabeth Austin/25/Williston, VT/Olivier/14/KWPN/S/Madeline and Elisabeth Austin

Some of the world’s other top Dressage riders will be making the trip to South Florida, so don’t miss the chance to see a preview of some of the world’s best horses and riders that may be returning to the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in September 2010.Competition begins with the Grand Prix on Thursday, February 6 in the afternoon. It continues on Saturday with the Grand Prix Special, followed by the Grand Prix Freestyle under the lights. All the action takes place in the International Arena at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.
