Lexington, Ky. – Following the submission of the Definite entries for the 2018 FEI World Driving Championships for Singles, US Equestrian was informed by the FEI that Mr. Gary Yeager had not met the necessary qualification criteria. Despite US Equestrian’s efforts, he is ineligible to compete at the Championships because he obtained his 3* status after he achieved the required CAI2*-H1 eligibility qualifying scores.

The FEI requires that the athlete meet the 3* status before the required scores are achieved. US Equestrian apologizes that this situation has occurred and promptly requested that the FEI clarify the language of the eligibility criteria to minimize the risk of misinterpretation and confusion. Following the decision that Mr. Yeager will not be accepted, US Equestrian sought permission to enter an alternative individual athlete.
