Currently the most successful dressage stallion in international competition licensed for breeding is Blue Horse Cavan, a Hanoverian by Cavalier x Damnatz. The typey stallion heralded himself as pillar of the Danish team, which won the team bronze at the 1999 European Championships, and the Pries de Nation Team Bronze at the 1999 CHIO Aachen. With his steady rider Lars Petersen the pair were the highest placed Danish riders in both competitions, giving their country a solid chance at a team medal in the 2000 Olympic Games. Bred by F.W. Rusch from Belum, Germany, Cavan switched owners after the approval in Verden and moved to Denmark. Available for Stud at Denmark’s most prestigious stallion centre Blue Horse Stud, Cavan proves to have the qualities, which are expected to produce quality offspring.
