Anna Marek, Kohmann’s closest competitor, showcased her prowess with a score of 70.152% on Janet Simile’s Fire Fly. Jan Ebeling joined the top three with Jubi’s Tenacity, narrowly missing the 71% mark. Marcus Orlob and Jane were also in contention but unfortunately had to retire due to their mount’s spookiness.

Kohmann credits his strong partnership with Dünensee for their remarkable achievements. The 16-year-old gelding by Dancier has been a constant companion for Kohmann, and their mutual trust and understanding have propelled them to international grand prix competitions worldwide.

In the lead-up to the competition, Kohmann’s preparation routine involves spending quality time with Dünensee, scratching him for 15 minutes in the stall, and showering him with carrots and apples. Kohmann believes this attention and care contribute to Dünensee’s comfort and confidence in the show arena.

As the AGDF8 reaches its climax, all eyes will be on Kohmann as he aims to secure his spot in the FEI World Cup™ Final in Basel, Switzerland. The freestyle class on Friday night will determine the final League placings and points allocation, and Kohmann is poised to make history.
