Madeleine “Lena” Bendfeldt, the two-time winner at the 2023 Markel/USEF Young and Developing Horse Championships, will be represented by the International Equestrian Sports Group (“IES Group”).

Lena achieved significant success in her native Germany before exploding on the scene in the United States, capturing three championship titles at the US Dressage Festival of Champions over three years.  Lena comments: “It’s important for us, as athletes, to have our independence and the ability to pursue the best opportunities available.  Being represented by IES Group gives us that freedom.”

About International Equestrian Sport Group – IES

IES Group is a US-based sports agency that, among other services, represents international athletes and persons of extraordinary ability seeking P and O visas.

Catherine Toner, founder of IES Group who is herself an immigration attorney with an equestrian background, seeks to demystify the immigration process for international athletes and provide thoughtful advocacy along the way.

Demystifying the Immigration Process

Catherine says: “To represent an athlete of Lena’s caliber is very exciting.  I look forward to building our roster and providing a transparent and supported visa experience for international riders.”

She goes on to note: “By removing the burden from employers to petition on behalf of international riders, I’m hopeful that IES Group will open the door for US clients to have access to international talent like Lena.”
