30 U.S. Combinations Across Four Disciplines Set to Compete at CHIO Aachen as Competition Gets Underway

Aachen, Germany – A strong contingent of horses and athletes will represent the United States at CHIO Aachen this week, which began yesterday with opening jumping classes, horse inspections, and horse arrivals. The U.S. will field teams across three different disciplines, with one individual in driving, totaling more than 30 combinations set to represent the United States at the prestigious annual event.

With Aachen being the location for the 2026 FEI World Equestrian Games, this experience will provide a strong foundation for next year.

The jumping competition kicked off yesterday with the STAWAG Opening Competition. In contrast, the first major day of competition will begin today, concluding with the highly coveted Turkish Airlines-Prize of Europe at 7:00 p.m. GMT+2. The Mercedes-Benz Nations Cup CSIO5* will start at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 3.

Dressage competition will begin today with CDI1* and CDI4* divisions, while the Dressage Nations Cup CDIO5* is set to begin tomorrow, Thursday, July 3, with the FEI Grand Prix CDIO5*.

Eventing horses arrived at the venue yesterday in preparation for the FEI Eventing Nations Cup CCIO4*-S, which will begin on Friday, July 4.

Chester Weber (Ocala, Fla.) will represent the United States in four-in-hand driving competition at the venue, with the dressage phase beginning on Thursday, July 3.
