Lori Bell has more than one reason to celebrate. Bell, of Alpharetta, GA, won the Adult Amateur Training Level Championships (68.2%) on her chestnut gelding Pegasus, at the American Bankers/USDF Region Three Finals held October 13-24 in Conyer, Georgia. The nuclear medical equipment sales rep is also owner of this year’s Intermediaire standout, Douwe. Bell trains with Karen Lipp, who rides Douwe.

Lipp and Douwe moved up to Grand Prix at the Atlanta Fall Dressage Show, run in conjunction with the Region 3 Finals. A first for both horse and rider, they won with 59%. Though she had hoped for a higher score, she was pleased to have moved up. Now she and Douwe can focus on fine-tuning their Grand Prix ride for the winter circuit.
