Springtime Dressage CDI’s in Illinois and Kentucky Rev Up for Action

Starting with the Horse Inspection on Thursday, May 19, Dressage at Lamplight I and II, I – May 20-21/ II – May 22, 2011, will be offering two back-to-back shows in the first of two back-to-back CDI 1* competitions in the central USA taking place this month. The 2011 Markel/USEF Young Horse Dressage Central Selection Trial for the 2011 FEI World Breeding Championships, Official Qualifying Competition for the Markel/USEF Young Horse Dressage Program, and the USEF National Developing Horse Dressage Championship (sponsored by the Dutta Corp & PSI) are just a part of the full CDI and National classes to be held at the beautiful equestrian facility in Wayne, Illinois. Lamplight is the location of the National Developing and Young Horse Championships to be held August 25-27.

Then it’s on to Lexington, Kentucky for the 23rd Annual Kentucky Dressage Association Annual Dressage Show featuring a CDI 1*/CDIY/CDIJ, with 1,120 rides, 31 CDI* exhibitors, and riders from 20 different states. KDA will be having its 23rd Anniversary celebration with a large class of Freestyles on Saturday evening, following a full day of competition featuring Dressage National Championship qualifiers. A South Korean TV group, MBC is coming to do a documentary on Kentucky horse activities, which is due to be aired in December in South Korea.
