With horses and riders from across the country in attendance at the beautiful Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, Illinois, the veterinary inspection for the four-, five- and six-year-olds and the USEF Developing Horses went smoothly with all 60 horses passing the jog. The stage is now set for competition to begin today at 9:15 with the Four-Year-Old Warm Up Class and Five-Year-old Preliminary Test with judges Hilda Gurney, Marielle Barnett, and Linda Zang. A large judges’ forum has also begun focusing on the Young Horse classes, where participants have just reviewed the recent videos from the World Young Horse Championships held in Verden, Germany under the guidance of Janet Foy.
