Victoria Birdsall and Luxina

Lake Placid, NY – Victoria Birdsall rode Luxina to victory in the $1,500 Hampton Inn 1.35-meter Jumper Class Thursday at the 47th annual Lake Placid Horse Show, presented by Sea Shore Stables LLC.

In the day’s featured event in the Richard M. Feldman Grand Prix Field, only five of the 24 entries rode fault-free over the 13-jump, one-round course. Birdsall claimed the win by riding Luxina to the fastest time, finishing in 68.894 seconds.

That easily outdistanced the 76.914 seconds turned in by second-place finisher Jimmy Torano on Daydream and the 78.651 seconds turned by Olympic veteran Margie Engle who finished third on Eckham Van Het Steentje.
