Jeff Gogul and his mount Graciano started the season off like no other, winning back-to-back blues during both Week One and Week Two of the 2019 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). The pair took first place in the Green Hunter 3’ division on January 9th, and then on January 17th, took more first place wins with scores of 88 and 89, and was named Champion of the division. The award recognizes top high-performance riders, like Gogul, who have gathered at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC) in Wellington, Florida for WEF. This prestigious prize is given to a horse and rider team that demonstrates exemplary achievement with in the equestrian community, as well as exceptional health and fitness.

Gogul was thrilled to take home Triple Crown’s tri-colored ribbon and engraved silver platter as a part of the award, saying it was quite an accomplishment for Graciano. “He is a young horse we purchased late last summer,” Gogul explained. “We showed him only one time last season, and it was really his first outing as a hunter. He was a dressage horse that was spotted in Tryon, and he literally had not jumped so he has been a really quick study!”
