At this last weekend’s ESP September show, Meredith Gallagher, riding City Walk, won the Omega Alpha Add Back Competition. Gallagher and City Walk, a beautiful gray gelding owned by Angela Calicchio, gave the socially distant onlookers a ride to remember, as the smooth partnership eased their way through the course.

When asked about the Omega Alpha Add Back competition, Gallagher remarked that, “It is a great class and it’s used for a variety of different reasons!” In a hopeful voice Gallagher added, “It is a great class to win a little money.” Gallagher and City Walk have been at Carriage Hill Farm in Delray Beach, Fl for 3 years. About to celebrate her anniversary with Carriage Hill, Gallagher has a long history of showing and riding a variety of different horses up to the Grand Prix level. Her strong basis in horsemanship governs her teaching and riding style as she helps riders and horses succeed at any level.
Gallagher highlighted the influence Carriage Hill’s environment has had, “We have a large team and we are encouraged to use our skills to make our team stronger, so it’s unique in that there is a lot of collaboration. We try to be a fun atmosphere! So as much as we want to win, it’s not the same without the fun!” Commenting on the unprecedented times, Gallagher said that “Any competition barn will say that they make their quota through shows. So it’s great to have them back!” She noted that the good thing about the lack of shows was the time she had to work on the horses: and the results seem to hold up, with City Walk not only winning the Omega Alpha Add Back, but also performing admirably and winning with owner Angela Calicchio up.

Gallagher said she is excited to try the Omega Alpha products . I have seen them at the shows and heard good things, so “thank you Omega Alpha for the opportunity to try your products and for sponsoring!”
