A great show series and “a blast from the past” was the VADA Celebrity Freestyle, will held in Keswick, Virginia, (near Charlottesville) at the historical Keswick Hunt Club Showgrounds. The mastermind of this event which ran from 2002-2004 Cynthia “Tigger” Montague had some incredible celebrities from the Virginia countryside, who came out from hiding to help judge the Dressage tests, along with real Dressage judges acting as “Technical Advisors.

Sissy Spacek a farm girl at heart, was happy to oblige. She bonded with Australian Dressage Judge (and author) Libby Anderson, lending her artistic interpretation of the rides she witnessed under the lights.

Celebrities in film, television, news, and media, some who are watching Dressage for the first time, are invited to join official Dressage judges in the judges’ booth. They are instructed to judge each ride on ‘impact’ as the horse and rider teams perform Freestyle rides from the lower levels to Grand Prix.
