Misdee Wrigley-Miller Soars In Style At First Aachen
Friday, September 3, 2021 | Mary Phelps
It is Misdee Wrigley-Miller’s first Aachen and she is breathing it all in. “When I drove down that center line today, I just has to say wow, I am really here.” As a member of the US Gold Medal Team at the World Equestrian Games Tryon 2018, the invitation for the USA was inevitable for the USA. She drove to her absolute personal best with an incredible dressage score of 39.39, in breathtaking fashion.
Her style and grace held her fully fit team together to produce the second place result of the day behind her trainer, Boyd Exell who broke a record result himself with a 28.70.
Exell who was just 2 drives after Wrigley-Miller, was with her in the first part of her warm up before getting his own team ready. And then Misdee’s WEG Tryon team mate Chester Weber laid down a close third with a 40.26 result.
The class laid down the gauntlet for the three day competition, with the Dressage Test on Thursday as the one which counts for the three day Nation’s Cup result.
