Marcie Quist (USA) Appointed to FEI Driving Committee

FEI announces new U.S. representative for the international governance of Combined Driving
The Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) has announced that Marcie Quist (USA) has been appointed to the FEI Driving Committee, beginning her term in 2025 and serving through 2029.
Quist succeeds Annika Borg (SWE), who completed the final year of Heather Briggs’ 2025–2026 term.
With more than two decades of experience in Combined Driving, Marcie Quist brings extensive expertise as both a former FEI competitor and an experienced FEI and USEF official. She has served as an FEI Judge, Steward, and Technical Delegate, as well as Chef d’Équipe for U.S. teams at multiple World Championships, including Four-in-Hand, Pairs, Singles, and Para Driving divisions.
Her appointment reinforces the United States’ leadership within international Combined Driving and highlights the FEI’s commitment to balanced representation across regions and disciplines.

About Marcie Quist
Marcie Quist, based in Southern Pines, North Carolina, has been actively involved in Combined Driving for over 20 years.
A former international competitor, she now serves as an FEI 1* Judge, FEI Steward, and USEF “R” official. In addition to her officiating roles, she has represented the United States as Chef d’Équipe for several World Championship teams. She is a respected mentor and advocate for the development of the sport across all levels.
Uniquely Qualified
Quist graduated from the University of Montana Law School in 1988 and was in private practice in Bozeman, Montana, for 10 years before moving to Southern Pines for better year-round horse weather. Before law school, she worked in agriculture for nine years after graduating from the University of California, Davis, with a degree in Animal Science.
Quist retired in April of 2022 from the Dep of the Army as a civilian employee after fourteen years as an advocate for Soldiers to get them their Army and Veterans benefits after being disabled on active duty. Before her work with the Army, Quist was with the North Carolina Legal Aid, helping victims of domestic violence.
