Stay Tuned to DressageDaily as we announce the winners of First level, Prix St Georges, and Grand Prix in the upcoming days. After the final results were calculated from the Dressage in Florida winter shows at the Palm Beach County Jim Brandon Equestrian Center, once again for the third year, Janne Rumbough won three of six divisions all with different horse, and all by her PRE Stallion Gaucho III. Rumbough a lifelong equestrienne and native of Denmark, has been a part of the Dressage in Florida scene since it began in the 1970’s. Often a sponsor and strong supporter of the sport, Rumbough maintains her amateur status, but makes the time to ride and train six days a week with Jan Brons. Rumbough has a busy life outside of horses with grandchildren, and charitable activities she participates in with her husband Stanley. In fact she tell the story of one time rushing from the barn to a formal black tie function in Palm Beach, remembering her gown, but forgetting her shoes. “I attended the entire function wearing my clogs,” Rumbough laughs. “I don’t think anyone but Stanley noticed.”
Rumbough was one of the first in America to import a well known Pura Resa Espanola (PRE) stallion, the quality Gaucho III (X Panadero VIII), from Spain, and has managed his breeding career since.
