Iron Horse Driving Trials Kicks Off the Holiday Season

Held during the opening weekend of the Ocala Christmas Light Spectacular , the Iron Horse Driving Trials has been moved to the Florida Horse Park Thanksgiving weekend, November 26-27 (Saturday and Sunday) to accommodate the growth of entries and interest. A fundraiser for the Florida Horse Park Driving Marathon Course, competitors of all levels will get the chance to enjoy a world class driving event, in an affordable, casual and fun competition.

Saturday will be Dressage and Cones, with International Gold medalist and popular local trainer Thorston Zarembowitz. With no “Presentation Score” added to the test, competitors can dress casual or not : it’s always fun to bring out the hats! They will then move onto a cones course designed by Geir Kanstad the force behind the growth of the Driving improvements at the Florida Horse Park.
With entries capped at 45, beginners and preliminary drivers, horses and ponies, will have the chance to become familiar with the facility and obstacles.
Prepare for Three USEF National Championships At The Florida Horse Park Spring Fling – February 22-26
Preliminary, Intermediate and Advanced entries will have the golden opportunity to get used to the facilities in preparation for the Florida Horse Park Spring Fling an FEI 1*, 2* and 3* event February 22-26, which is the location for the USEF National Championships for Preliminary, Advance Ponies and all Horse Pairs. Those on the rise are encouraged to participate The Iron Horse Driving Trials is the perfect opportunity to prepare, build confidence and get familiar with the obstacles. This will give Training Level drivers the confidence needed to go for it and move up to Preliminary in 2023.
