Lexington, KY – The 2009 FEI Adequan North American Junior/Young Rider Championships presented by Gotham North (NAJYRC) will be held for the first time at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. Hagyard Equine Medical Institute has graciously signed on as the Official Veterinary Services Provider and will be providing treating veterinary coverage for all four of the disciplines – Eventing, Jumping, Dressage, and Reining.

These Championships bring out North America’s finest Junior and Young riders, aged 14-21. Medals are awarded to the top teams and individuals in this five day event. It is the only FEI Championship held annually in North America.

“Hagyard Equine Medical Institute is proud to be partnering with NAJYRC as the official veterinarian,” said Dr. Peters, head Hagyard Sport Horse Division veterinarian. “We are excited to help this excellent group of young riders in any way that we can. We look forward to providing them with excellent service and their horses with excellent care, doing our part to make Lexington’s first Young Riders competition a huge success.”

Located directly across the street from the Kentucky Horse Park, Hagyard veterinarians have dedicated themselves to the health and well-being of the horse for more than 130 years. Drs. Charlie Hagyard, Arthur Davidson and William McGee formed a partnership that provided the equine community with an establishment that could offer several talented veterinarians working together as one in order to provide the highest level of care available. Today Hagyard includes more than 60 veterinarians, as well as a well-educated, experienced staff of support personnel. No other single non-university veterinary group in the world is currently able to match Hagyard’s qualifications.
