Gladstone, NJ – A broken buckle led to the bridle slipping off the head of Endeavor Doc during the first round of the Cosequin/USET Reining Championship at the 2001 USET Festival of Champions. No problem for his rider Guy Vernon of Kiowa, CO who finished the pattern bridle-less as the crowd went wild and his fellow competitors stopped action in the warm up to watch.
Even the announcer declared this was only the second time in the years he has been covering the competition that he has witnessed this situation.
