On Monday, April 25, First Lady Jane Beshear had the opportunity to ride the Yatesville Lake equine trails with Dr. Robert Coleman of Smokey Valley Farm, Senator Robin Webb and members of the Lawrence County Saddle Club.  It proved to be a perfect sunny day for trail riding and Mrs. Beshear was impressed with the beautiful views of the lake and the rider and horse friendly trails. After the ride, Mrs. Beshear met with Representative Rocky Adkins, Yatesville Lake manager Mike Sullivan, and local officials and trail enthusiasts to discuss expansion of trails in and around the park.  The meeting went very well and and we hope to see more miles of trails at the park in the near future.

She strongly encourages riders of all ages to ride the Yatesville trails on Memorial Day or any time during the season.Happy Trails! This public trail is not on Yatesville Lake State Park property.
