Finland’s Henri Ruoste and Tiffanys Diamond Rise to the Occasion in the CDI3* Grand Prix Special
Sunday, June 9, 2024 | Press Release
This morning’s GumBits Prize CDI3* Grand Prix Special featured a winner not too many would have already expected on their list: Henri Ruoste and his Tailormade Temptation mare Tiffanys Diamond won the class on a score of 74.894 percent ahead of U.S. rider Steffen Peters and Suppenkasper on 72.660 percent and Swedish Juliette Ramel and Gideon K.H. on 72.255 percent. It is just the second international event ever for Ruoste and the Danish Warmblood, who was previously campaigned by Fie Skarsoe (LUX) in the young horse World Championships at Ermelo in 2019.

Ellen Hedbys from Sweden and her mare Sonnenkönigin dominated both tests of the CDIU25 Tour winning the Grand Prix 16-25 and today’s Freestyle. Her compatriot Hedda Thunberg rode Diva into second place on 73.485 percent ahead of Pia-Carlotta Gagel and Riccio (72.820) percent.
Comments from around the showground:
Henri Ruoste (FIN): “It was our second show and our second special. Tiffany’s Diamond is doing really well, she comes in and does her job. She doesn’t really have a weak point and she’s just a joy to ride. She’s not a horse that divides minds – she has good balance, a good walk, a nice passage – everything you want in a horse. Next we want to start in Kronberg i.T. and see if we can get through the second qualifier. I’ll take it as it comes, I don’t want to push her too hard, but it would be nice…”
Adrienne Lyle (USA): “Helix gave me some really good feelings today in the test. We were short on the one tempis unfortunately, but I thought he had some nice moments and it’s going to be a super test as he develops. He’s got a lot of strengths for everything in the Special.”
Anna Buffini (USA): “We have to talk and see what our next plans are. I was really happy with Fiontini in the Grand Prix. She gave me a great feeling and we are just going to try and get that back in the Special as well.”
