FEI Driving Championships 2025 Qualification Criterea

The qualification period for all 2025 FEI Driving Championships starts on January 1, 2024, and ends on the nominated entries date of the relevant Championship. New FEI Dressage tests for four-in-hand horses and Pairs and four-in-hand Ponies and Pairs have been in development and will be approved no later than December 30, 2024. The FEI Driving Combined Driving Season begins in the USA in January in Florida.

The qualification period for all 2025 Championships starts on 1 January 2024 and ends on the nominated entries date of the relevant Championship.
FEI Driving European Championship for Four-in-Hand Horses
To qualify, the Athlete must obtain the 3* Status as per art. 913.2, prior to obtaining the following qualifying results at two (2) different International Driving events:
3* Drivers must:
- Achieve a score of 65 points or less in the Dressage competition during a CH-M-A4, CAIO4*,
CAI3* or CAI3* World Cup Qualifier - Successfully complete (without Elimination, Disqualification or Retirement) all three competitions
(Dressage, Cones, Marathon) in their own class.
At least one of the qualifying results, as defined above, must be achieved no earlier than 1 January 2025.
FEI Dressage Test 3*B H4 will be run at the Championship.
FEI Driving World Championship for Pair Horses
To qualify, the Athlete must obtain the 3* Status as per art. 913.2, prior to obtaining the following
qualifying results at two (2) different International Driving events:
3* Drivers must:
- Achieve a score of 65 points or less in the Dressage competition during a CAIO4* or CAI3*; and
- Successfully complete (without Elimination, Disqualification or Retirement) all three competitions
(Dressage, Cones, Marathon) in their own class.
At least one of the qualifying results as defined above must be achieved no earlier than 1 January 2025.
The Championship’s Dressage Test is pending confirmation, as the FEI is developing a new test to be finalized by December 31, 2024.
FEI Driving World Championship for Ponies
The FEI Driving World Championships for Ponies has all divisions, Single, Pair and Four-in-Hand.
To qualify, the Athlete must obtain the 3* Status as per art. 913.2, prior to obtaining the following qualifying results at two (2) different International Driving events:
3* Drivers must:
- Achieve a score of 65 points or less in their respective Dressage competition class during a CAIO4*
or CAI3*; and - Successfully complete (without Elimination, Disqualification or Retirement) all three competitions
(Dressage, Cones, Marathon) in their own class.
At least one of the qualifying results as defined above must be achieved no earlier than on the 1st January 2025.
The Dressage Test for Pair and Four-in-Hand Ponies at the Championship is pending confirmation, as the FEI is developing a new test. The Pair and Four-in-Hand Pony tests are scheduled to be completed by December 31, 2024.
The test 3*HP1 will be run for the Pony Single Championship.
FEI Driving World Championship for Young Horses
Each National Federation is responsible for the qualification and selection of the Young Horses entered for the Championship.
The Young Horses Tests will be run at the Championship.
Aptitude Tests (Dressage) for Young Driving Horses
FEI Para Driving World Championship for Single Horses
Each National Federation is responsible for the qualification and selection of the Athletes and Horses
entered for the Championship.
All Athletes must be classified by the FEI before the start of the first competition at the FEI Para Driving Championship.
FEI Driven Dressage Test CAI1*and CPEAI will be run at the Championship.
