Bring the kids any day but especially on Sunday when they can join the Dressage Explorers and make their own stick horse to ride down the centerline in the Dixon Oval, join the selfie-scavenger hunt with prizes, and see the exhibitions. Check back for updates on the plans for 2023.

Explorers Day for Kids Schedule Of Events
All times are approximate and subject to change due to weather or horse show schedule
10:00 Day officially starts with a Blessing of the Animals – location will be announced
10:00 Model Horse show starts
10:00 – 1:30 Various exhibitions, meet-n-greets – near the Dressage Explorers tent
10:30 Make-N-Takes Stick Horse tent open
12:00 Make-N-Takes Stick Horse tent close
12:00 Centerline Ride in the Dixon Oval
12:30 Barn Day groups gather for final judging
12:30 Model Horse show judging complete.
Before 1:00 Barn Day Contest & Model Horse Winner awards – location will be announced

Video Contest:
Create a short video of you and your barn partners showing the fun, comaraderie and dancin’ spirit that makes your barn special. Submit to Dressage at Devon for a chance to win.
Video Contest Prizes:
• Tickets to DAD Grand Prix night, Saturday, September 30, plus DAD swag bags for each in the group
• Barn gift certificate from The Engraver
• Barn gift bag from Rick’s Heritage Saddlery

Spirit Contest:
Gather your barn friends, put on your best Dancin’ In The Dixon outfit and head to Dressage at Devon for Dressage Explorers’Day, on October 1. We’re celebrating the 70’s and 80’s dancing queens in the Dixon Oval for fun and prizes.
Spirit Contest Prizes:
• Riding clinic with Nicole DelGiorno, USDF gold medalist, L Graduate with Distinction, 4-time NAYC medalist. Check out the bio for Nicole here.

Dressage Explorer Exhibition List:
- Father Mack for the Blessing of the Animals in the Dixon Oval at ~10 AM
- The Barn at Spring Brook – An Animal sanctuary and therapy program for children.
- Work to Ride – A riding/polo club for kids located in Philadelphia. Info booth and riders meet-n-greet.
- All4Paws Rescue – Dog rescue will be set up near the Committee stand.
- Montgomery County 4H Model Horse Show for Ages 6-18 – The model horse display and competition will take place in the Picnic Grove (near the pub).
- Montgomery County 4-H Tiny Trotters – A youth horse club. Info booth and rider meet-n-greet.
- Pony Club – A youth horse club. Info booth and rider meet-n-greet.
- Special Equestrians – A therapeutic riding program presenting the Pony Kissing Booth.
- Berks County 4-H – A youth horse club. Info booth and rider meet-n-greet.
- Dressage 4 Kids (D4K) – Info booth, riders meet-n-greet, test ride discussion.
- USDF Young Rider – Info booth, riders meet-n-greet.
- Lauean Abbott will be there with her Friesian cross horse for petting and to answer questions about the breed.
- IEA Interscholastic Equestrian Association – A youth horse club. Info booth, riders meet-n-greet,
- Ryerss Farm – The country’s oldest non-profit organization of its kind, dedicated to providing a comfortable retirement for horses.
- The Barn at Spring Brook – An Animal sanctuary and Therapy program for children.
- Kimberly & Company – Face Painting
- New Bolton Center Vet Truck/Meet the Vet & Vet Tech and Talk about the path to vet school.
