NBC’s The Today Show is broadcasting live from Athens today. Be sure to check out the show with Katie Couric as American individual medal hopeful Debbie McDonald and her lovely Hanoverian mare Brentina are the featured guests.

Though the official NBC website is not listing McDonald’s appearance on their website, Debbie has announced her tv-screen momentum on her own official site www.brentina.com. Germany Wins Eventing Team and Individual GoldNever before has an Olympic eventing final been more tumultuous than the one in Athens. Apparantly, Germany won team gold, lost it after a judges’ enquiry into a possible false start by Bettina Hoy, then the appeal was appealed and Germany won team gold again. To make it even more exciting, French Nicolas Touzaint, who was expected to sweep away the individual gold, had a dramatic jumping ride finishing ninth and giving Bettina Hoy the individual gold medal.
