David DeWispelaere returns to the US for a three-day clinic May 13 – 15 at Gateway Riding Center in Oswego, IL. David began riding at 14 and won his first Grand Prix in 1988 aboard a mare named Daktari at Dressage at Devon. He is known in the states for taking his yearling Rheinlander Figaro to Grand Prix and the US Olympic Selection trials.

In 1988, David moved to Vienna, Austria to train with Arthur Kottas, former head of the Spanish Riding School. While there, David became interested in Baroque horses and was one of the first professionals in the US to import Spanish horses for dressage. He is currently schooling FEI with his Andalusian stallion Hacendado. David recently relocated permanently to a lovely farm in Germany where he teaches and trains.

The clinic will be held from 9am- 5pm. Riders from Training Level to FEI will be instructed by David at Gateway. Auditors are encouraged to attend and ask questions as they watch David use classical theory to improve performance.

Two riding spots are still open at $400 for the weekend. The auditor fee is $40. Lunch will be available at the event. For further information and registration see contact Linda Schultz at tboxer417@msn.com or 630-408-7128.
