Fabulous New Restaurant in Wellington,Galipette, to Host 2006 Campaign Kickoff For the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Annual Fundraidser
When Dressage Rider and Trainer Mary Ann Grant, a Lymphoma survivor began her “Equestrian of the Year” competition, providing a way for those involved in the equestrian community to raise money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, she really wasn’t sure how it would all work out.
Four years later, her program is still going strong. Equestrians compete in varous ways to raise money through pledges. To date they have earned over $200,000, and that’s not counting what will come in from the pledges in 2006. “I think it is something for the entire equestrian community to be proud of as a collective effort!” Mary Ann Grant told DressageDaily.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society launches the Equestrian of the Year 2006 Campaign at Galipette’s Restaurant and Lounge, January 12, 2006.This year’s Gold sponsor this year is Wellington Regional Medical Center, and two Bronze sponsors, EuroAmerican Saddlery and SHOCLOTHS.
