Catherine Haddad Dominates CDI*** Tour in Hickstead

Two rounds, two wins: Catherine Haddad who starts for the USA has won both the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Special on her Danish horse Cadillac. Haddad, who currently lives and trains in Vechta, Germany, has dominated the CDI*** at the world reknown competition of Hickstead.   “Cadillac showed real maturity and expression in the Piaffe-Passage-Tour in both tests. He gave me a super feeling, he was energetic and offered so much to me. I think in the Grand Prix he showed his best Piaffe-Passage-Tour ever which makes me very happy”, Haddad said.

The pair achieved 70.511 percent in the Grand Prix before Kenneth Dyrby/USA in the saddle of Nanette (67.021%) and French Hubert Perring on Diabolo St Maurice who achieved 65.830 percent. Haddad who is known for her straight flying changes was able to take the win in both test. In the Grand Prix Special she achieved 69.667 percent before Sarah Millis on O’Neill and finish rider Kyra Kyrklund on the Don Schufro-mare Adelante.

With the two wins of Hickstead Catherine Haddad has achieved eight win this year: She has already won six Grand Prix classes with Cadillac like in Vidauban, Leipzig, Neumünster and Meppen. “It is going really well this year for us. I hope we can continue that form. My goals are the world championships in Kentucky next year.”
