Great Britain’s Charlotte Fry and Glamourdale grabbed gold in the Grand Prix Special at the ECCO FEI World Championships 2022 in Herning, Denmark tonight where host-nation superstars Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour and Vamos Amigos clinched silver ahead of The Netherlands’ Dinja van Liere and Hermes in bronze.

The Dutch rider raised the bar with a score of 79.407 when fourth-last to go of the 30 starters, but Laudrup-Dufour bettered that with 81.322 when next into the arena and it seemed that, just like the team title yesterday, the Special gold was destined for Denmark.
But Fry’s 11-year-old stallion, who had the crowd gasping with delight once again with his hugely extravagant canter, posted a massive 82.508 to bring it home for Britain.
