Burssens Sets His Sights on The Pan American Games
Tuesday, March 30, 1999 | Mary Phelps
Patrick Burssens originally from Belgium now rides for Mexico, the homeland of his wife, Marisol. A prominent figure on the Florida Winter Circuit, with a new farm in Wellington, and a barn full of horses and clients, he has set his sights on qualifying for the Mexican Team, with his Dutch Warmblood, Jagermeester. With the trials beginning in Mexico, Burssens will know soon if his winter scores in Florida will qualify him to defend his Gold Medal in Winnipeg this summer, at the Pan American Games which runs from July 23-August 8.
