As the edges of the river Allier, news bloom for the 2013 edition of the International Show Jumping of Vichy (France), scheduled as always the weekend of July 14 (the French National Bastille Day) in the exceptional setting of Sichon Stadium, designed by Gustave Eiffel. 1 more day of sportVichy hosts this year for the first time, in parallel with the traditional International 3 stars Show Jumping, an International Veterans Show Jumping (CSIV-B) reserved for horsemen and women over 45 years. Only 20 couples will have the chance to ride on the grass of Vichy. To ensure the best possible comfort to the participants, the competitions have been spread over four days, not three. Veterans and 6 and 7 young horses open the ball Thursday, July 11 afternoon. In total, six veterans classes, including two Grand Prix on Sunday will take place this year, with the goal in 2014 to organize a new international event in addition to the usual International Show Jumping.

The Grand Prix of the City of Vichy remains the most important moment of sport on Sunday, July 14th at 14:30 and will be broadcasted live on the Internet for free (visit the website www.csi-vichy.com). This class counts for the Longines FEI world ranking and is a qualifier for the 2014 World Championships. 8th leg of the FFE SHF Future Elite circuit for 6 and 7 y.o. horsesThe CSI3* of Vichy is this year’s eighth step (out of 10) of the Future Elite circuit set up by the French Equestrian Federation and the French Equestrian Society (aka SHF). It brings together the best horses aged 6 and 7 years (generations born in 2006 and 2007) on appropriate classes organized under renowned equestrian events such as Vichy. These tests represent a step in preparation for the French Master Pro and Criterium for horses of 7 years (in September in Fontainebleau) and the World Young Horse Championships in Lanaken (BEL). One more night of sport and showWith the success of the great night organized Saturday night last year, a second night was added to the program on Friday. On the menu, tumbling, agility dog and jumping, while Saturday will be added to the tumbling and the traditional 6 bar class, an equestrian show by the Compagnie Impulsion.
