JazzBeat and rider Neil McIntosh receive 100% at the Ottawa Dressage Festival

Montreal, — For most riders, Dressage scores in the high 70s or low 80s are considered grounds for celebration; a score of 100 is beyond exceptional—it is unheard-of. The seeming impossible happened when JazzBeat and rider Neil McIntosh were given a score of 100 in the Materiale test at the Ottawa Dressage festival. When asked about this result, McIntosh said, “It was an amazing moment. JazzBeat and I both wanted to do well and it showed in our results that day. I am over the moon!” McIntosh is not a new name in Canada, nor internationally. The rider has worked with top riders and horses on both sides of the Atlantic. Originally Scottish, he has established himself, training and selling horses, in the Greater Montreal area. Ottawa, Canada’s capital, was host to the Ottawa Dressage Festival from May 30th to June 1st, an event privately organized by National Capital Dressage Inc. and held at the Wesley Clover Park, a beautiful facility on 270 acres of green pastures and immaculately groomed arenas.

Classes were qualifiers for North American and international championships, and were judged by Lorraine Macdonald (Canada), Joan Macartney (Canada), Ulrilke Nivelle (Germany), Jane Weatherwax (USA) and Elaine Potter (Canada).
