Sweden’s Patrik Kittel and his 11-year-old SWB mare Deja danced to victory in the 10.000 Euro WDM Grand Prix presented by NÜRNBERGER Versicherungen under the blue sunny sky in Vidauban. The pair scored 76.120% and Deja was easy going, diligent and light-footed. Patrik was really happy with the result and is looking forward to the Freestyle on Sunday.

Newcomer Gonçales Carvalho and his nine-year-old mare Batuta (Quixote x Icaro) were a pleasant surprise. The horse has charisma and the potential to become a top performer. She has a real good passage and piaffe and good basic gaits, which is not common for a Lusitanos. They still had some little mistakes in their test, but the mare is still young, and has the time on her side to develop further. The combination scored 73.140% and will start in the Grand Prix Special tomorrow.
