Lexington, KY – May 24, 2015 – U.S. Olympic veteran Margie Engle won a new Chevy Equinox as the Leading Athlete at the inaugural Split Rock Jumping Tour event. Local auto dealer Dan Cummins Chevrolet partnered with the Split Rock Jumping Tour to award the car. Engle had top placings in each of the three FEI classes at Split Rock, including placing second in the $100,000 CSI 3* Grand Prix, presented by Split Rock Farm.

During the award presentation on Sunday, the car was initially awarded to the Grand Prix winner Kevin Babington. However, a review of the points indicated that Engle ended up slightly ahead. Babington, always the perfect gentleman, graciously accepted the decision.Following the error, Split Rock Jumping Tour Founder and President Derek Braun offered Babington free entry and stabling for three FEI horses during the next Split Rock Jumping Tour event in October.
