Mill Spring, NC – Mark Bellissimo, managing partner of the Tryon Equestrian Partners, announced today that a major Grooms’ Initiative will be implemented immediately for competitions hosted at the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) facility, as well as competitions to be held at Palm Beach International Equestrian Center (PBIEC), Colorado Horse Park, Rolex Central Park Horse Show (NY), and The Trump Invitational at Mar-a-Lago (FL).

The new initiative will reward grooms for their hard work and dedication, as they continue to serve integral roles in the success of equestrian sport around the world. The initiative will present a monetary prize to the groom of the winning horse in the largest purse class (over $25,000) of the competition week. The groom will be highlighted in all communications released about the class including a winning presentation photo. In an effort to ensure riders register their grooms for the award, competitors will be asked to include their groom’s registration along with their declaration for the class. If no groom is registered to the winner of the class, the monetary award will be added to the next week’s prize value.

Bellissimo plans to include a similar program for the hunter, dressage, and eventing competitions that will be held at the five different competition venues.
