Inspiring Young Minds: Thomas O’Mara Champions Literacy and Leadership Through the Black Stallion Project

As President of the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) and a valued Board Member of The Community Foundation for Ocala/Marion County, Thomas brings a unique blend of national leadership and local dedication to every role he serves.

Giving Back

One of the many ways Tom gives back is through his active involvement with the Ocala Horse Alliance and its flagship initiative, the Black Stallion Reading Project. This innovative program is designed to foster a love for reading among local middle school students by introducing them to the classic story The Black Stallion. The project not only improves literacy rates but also strengthens student engagement through hands-on experiences with horses.
