Laurie Whelpley-Baker - Horses to Real Estate

Horses and Real Estate are her passion. Laurie has lived in the Ocala area since 1979, so is practically a native, and deeply immersed in her community. For many years she owned and operated a horse farm - participating in boarding, breeding and racing thoroughbreds. An active horsewoman, her interests are in showing and enjoying the recreational equine related activities that define the region of northern central Florida.

Together with her husband and son they manage their farm, are involved with the retired race horse program and helping other animals in need of a 'home for life'. Finding and selling a 'Farm for Life' is also Laurie's mission. With her in-depth experience as a life long horsewoman Laurie understands the needs of her clients, and can help on many other levels as well.

Laurie consistently wins The annual Outstanding Achievers Award given by Ocala/Marion County Association of Realtors for having closed more than $3,000,000 in sales in a year.

For the many visitors who fall in love with 'Ocala Horse Country', Laurie can locate information on any property listed for sale and act as your representative to facilitate a transaction.

Whether representing the seller or buyer, or both, Laurie is a friend and neighbor, and is proud she can often represent both entities with fairness and ethics.
