Kaiman arrived in Florida late in 2021 and will be available to North American breeders in 2022. Kaiman was designated premium at his KWPN stallion show and finished third overall with 84 total points at the 2019 KWPN stallion performance test in Ermelo. In 2018, he finished in fourth place in the VSN Trophy Finals, a talent spotting competition for three-year-old dressage horses.
Kaiman was on the Dutch team’s long list for the 2020 World Championships for Young Horses. In 2021, Kaiman received an 83.8 at the prestigious Pavo Cup, the KWPN National Championships for young dressage horses. At his stallion test, the beautiful black stallion received 8.5s on his trot, canter, elasticity, balance, rideability, talent as a dressage horse, and an 8.0 on his walk. “Kaiman gives a very nice and comfortable feeling under the saddle,” said rider Dinja van Liere. “He is very sweet and always focused on his rider. He always gives his best.”
Kaiman demonstrates self-carriage, balance and suppleness in all three gaits. His walk is pure, active and has good scope. His trot is supple with good cadence. “I think he is best in the canter. He already has very nice changes,” van Liere says.
The 16.2 hand stallion is known around the barn for his good attitude, kind nature and willingness to work. “In the stable he’s very cuddly and relaxed. He likes sugar cubes and attention,” van Liere explains.
Kaiman passes on his best qualities to his offspring. In 2021, Kaiman’s first son, Ohio, became a Licensed Oldenburg Stallion at the Oldenburg Stallion Licensing in Vechta.
Kaiman comes from strong dressage bloodlines. His sire, Dark Pleasure, was a successful small tour horse who carries the Olympic genes of Ferro, Preferent. Kaiman’s mother is the Elite, Preferent mare Franciska, a daughter of the Grand Prix legend Gribaldi, Preferent, and a granddaughter of Grand Prix standout Krack C, who’s also known as an important damsire. Franciska is a full sister of the small tour horse Eye Catcher and a half-sister to Geronimo, who’s competing at the ZZ-Zwaar level. The Approved KWPN stallions Redford and Foundation come from the same family. With all that Grand Prix talent, Kaiman adds movement, suppleness, rideability and good character for your next dressage prospect.
Kaiman is Approved KWPN, German Oldenburg Verband and American Rhineland Studbook. See more photos and videos on his page of the Iron Spring Farm website.
