Fuerst Roemer GCF - Amazing Mover with a Good Temperament

Looking for Mr. Right? Look no further. Meet "Henson". He is tall, dark, and oh so handsome.

Henson is a 2011 Hanoverian gelding by Fuerst Romancier. He grabs everyone's attention wherever he goes. He stands an impressive 17.2 hands and is a beautiful dark bay with all the chrome you could wish for. To top it off, he is an amazing mover with a good temperament.

Henson was shown pre-Covid in Training and First Level receiving excellent remarks from the judges. He received scores in the high 60's to mid 70's. He was shown both by a professional and with his amateur owner rider. His tendency is to have a bit more whoa than go, but is by no means one that is going to wear you out kicking for every step. Henson is ready to show 2nd level right now and is almost ready for 3rd. He has lovely shoulder-in, haunches-in, and half-passes. He is coming along very nicely with his lead changes. He rides in both a snaffle and a double bridle.

Henson is priced so affordably only because he has an issue with his breathing. He has a partially collapsed larynx. During Covid, he was taken to Texas A&M Veterinarian Hospital for diagnosis. The vets did not feel like a full tie back surgery was necessary and recommended that he have a laryngectomy (cordectomy). The procedure was done and his breathing improved to some degree, but it is still audible when he works (mostly at the canter.).  We have asked a few dressage judges and have been told that audible breathing does not bother them as long as he is capable of performing the elements in the test correctly. His breathing was audible in 2019 when he received scores in the 70's.

Due to his size, we feel that Henson would do best for an experienced amateur or Jr rider in order to show him to his potential.
