Wednesday, December 16, 2020
Florianus II, Crown, is an international Grand Prix horse producing offspring winning at the highest level of the sport.
Flori, as he’s known around the barn, is kind, with good conformation, and supple, elastic gaits. His bloodlines represent the cream of the international crop. They are matched by his own outstanding and long career at Grand Prix in the most competitive arenas in Europe and North America. As a sire, his offspring have won at the CDI Grand Prix level and are recognized for their extraordinary character, rideability and movement.
Among his offspring: the CDI-winning Grand Prix dressage mare Rhythm and Blues (formerly Florencia B), and the Approved Stallion, For Set, who's competing Prix St. Georges in Europe.
In 2021, Freska won at Prix St. Georges with scores to nearly 74%. Jelisco SSF won at 3rd Level. Klassik had 17 wins at Training, 1st and 2nd Level. Klassik was Reserve Champion USDF All Breeds Awards (KWPN-NA) at 1st Level AA Vintage Cup. Klassik also earned three additional Top 5 placings in the 2021 USDF All Breed Awards.
Melody was the 2021 Champion USDF All Breeds Awards (KWPN-NA) in the 4–5-Year-OldOld Mares Materiale. She was also 9th place in the USDF Horse of the Year Awards in the same division.
At the GAIG/USDF Region7 Championships, Kerensa was 4th place 1st Level JR/YR. Lennox was 7th place at Training Level AA in Region 1.
Florianus II is also a versatile sire, with winning eventers, hunters, jumpers and equitation horses.
Florianus II began his international dressage career at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Warendorf, Germany. He quickly ascended the levels to the CDI Grand Prix with Karin Rehbein. Flori was named the most successful Westfalen dressage horse in Germany and won more than 22,000 euros in prize money in 2007. After his importation to the USA, he finished first in numerous Grand Prix classes before retiring sound.
Florianus II has an incredible work ethic. His flexibility and scope, along with an outstanding ability to collect, helped him excel in the most difficult movements of passage, piaffe and pirouette.
Florianus II is a son of one of the most popular and prolific sires of the modern era—Florestan I. Among Florestan’s many successful offspring are the young horse champions Florencio, French Kiss, Fürst Heinrich and Fidermark, as well as top Grand Prix horses such as Floriano, Forrest Gump and Glock’s Flirt. Florestan offspring are noted for supple gaits coupled with rideability. He produced more than 2,000 German competition horses, 90 licensed stallions and 220 States Premium mares.
Florianus’ damline is also exceptional. His dam, St.Pr.St. Die Dame, competed in dressage and jumped 1.2m before becoming a broodmare. She produced 12 offspring, including the Approved Westfalen stallion Funkenstolz, the international Grand Prix competitor Fur Immer, and international jumpers Lady Lancer D and Lucina 20. Die Dame is a full sister to the Westfalen stallion Dottore, who stood at the Warendorf State Stud. Her full sister, St.Pr.St. Dornröschen, took third place at the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf, and was a top priced mare at the Elite Auction in Münster.
