ELEWAARD (‘ELI’) - TOP QUALITY 2009 KWPN GELDING BY VIVALDI X FLEMMING - This extremely handsome, 16.2hh, very well bred KWPN bright bay gelding is by the incredible Vivaldi, his mother ‘Surona’ was an elite KWPN mare, who earned her STER, PRED and PREF status by producing amazing progeny and his mother’s sire was the equally famous Flemmingh. You don’t get much better breeding than this, giving him fantastic movement with a very intelligent, trainable brain. He was a Champion foal and went through two rounds of the stallion grading in Holland but was gelded as a 2-year-old when one of his testicles didn’t drop, which shows his quality and fantastic uphill conformation. Imported to the USA as a 3-year-old. Eli has earned 70%+ at every level he has competed at from Young Horse classes to 3rd level. Eli was also competed by a Junior rider at 2nd and 3rd level. He is currently training towards PSG. He is a very friendly boy who loves people and gives lots of affection. Easy to handle in all ways, easy to clip, great for farrier and vet, loads easily, travels well and trail rides alone or with others. He behaves the same at shows as he does at home, always laid back, never stressed and lies down in his show stall, but lights up in the arena. He has 3 big paces and his canter is particularly big and ground covering but easy to sit as he has a lovely soft swinging back. His single changes are big and full of expression but still confirming the tempi’s. He loves entering the arena and enjoys showing off and has fantastic presence. He can be as ‘hot’ or laid back as you like. He is forward thinking without being stupid and is nicely responsive to the leg and never lazy. He loves to work and is super fit. He is light in the bridle and can be ridden in either a snaffle or a double and maintains constant uphill self-carriage with ease and has a quick hindleg. Suitable for a professional, ambitious amateur or junior/young rider – not a timid rider or beginner’s ride due to his extravagant movement. No lameness ever, no colic, no ulcers, no maintenance, no injections, no special requirements, easy keeper and good feet (normal shoes). UTD on all vaccinations, coggins and teeth floated regularly. Good home important as he is such a love bug and loves affection and attention and competition home a must as do not want to see his talent wasted. With current owner for 3 years, but very sadly for sale due to knee injury and currently unable to ride adequately and do him justice.
