“Jack” is an eye-catching, beautifully moving, talented small Welsh cross pony with a precious personality. Standing 127 cm, he is chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail, blaze, and beautiful white stockings. He was purchased in January 2020 and started under saddle in February. Since then, he’s been the best buddy of a now 12-year-old boy who has sadly outgrown him.
Jack began showing in local schooling green hunters in September 2020, earning multiple champion ribbons, jumping 2′. He started dressage training with his child rider in January 2021 and excelled in showing combined tests (cross rails and verticals at 2′), and subsequently at recognized dressage shows. He was the 2021 National Dressage Pony Cup Champion in the Intro/JR-YR division and Reserve High Point rider in the JR/YR division. He also competed at the GAIG-USDF and SWDC Region 9 championships in intro and training levels (pony), placing 3rd (score of 73%), and 3rd in training (score of 66%).
