We insure Farriers and love working with them. The coverage is not expensive and needed. I am surprised how many are not insured- I recall the story of a farrier who put the horse away (no one else was at the barn) and somehow the horse got out of his stall and was injured. The farrier was held liable.
This coverage is also required (or should be) by all facilities and barns where horses are in the CCC (care, custody and control) of others.
