Let’s Be Famous (Draco) – Seller motivated!
Draco is a 6-year-old, 17.1h KWPN gelding located 30 minutes from Lexington, KY. Started under saddle in October 2020, Draco is now schooling all of Second level and is touching on the half pass and flying changes. He has a particular talent for lateral work due to his balance and articulation. His three incredible gaits and easy connection into the bridle make him the perfect FEI prospect. He has the work ethic, trainability and athleticism to go all the way up the levels.
With a lofty, uphill canter, floating trot and reaching walk, he truly is a dream to ride. Draco is also a joy to have in the barn and can live outdoors full time or be stalled. He has gone shod, but is currently barefoot and goes beautifully either way. He will stand for hours to be groomed, bathed, braided, trimmed or shod, clipped and vetted. Draco also self-loads and loves to hack alone and with friends. He is a low maintenance sweetheart of a horse who is exceptional under saddle.
Draco has never had any soundness issues and was fully vetted and x-rayed at the time I purchased him unstarted (Sept. 2020). He received tie-back surgery on July 1, 2021 from which he healed beautifully and has had a much more pleasant time riding and training ever since. This should not affect his performance in the future and will be considered in price negotiations.
Draco appreciates a confident and experienced rider but is not dangerous or overly fearful of new things and places. He is sensitive to the leg and hand but not too much so and has a great engine while maintaining adjustability. He has been ridden over small fences several times and is athletic enough for plenty of cross training. I could easily see Draco being a top notice eventer with the right rider as well!
