Dressage4Kids and Anne Baber Wallis are pleased to announce that Julia Lee Barton is the recipient of the 2022 D4K Christian Kennedy Young Adult Scholarship. As the recipient of the scholarship, Julia will work under the training leadership of Oded Shimoni at OS Dressage in Wellington, Florida.

Thirteen combinations competed in their second and final test, the FEI Young Rider Individual Test, in hopes of claiming the Horseware Ireland/USEF Young Rider Dressage National Championship.

The 18th annual Weekend Equestrian Program will feature a mix of unmounted presentations and active sessions over the weekend of January 25 and 26, 2020. As always, Dressage4Kids is sponsoring this event, but emphasizes that it is open to horse lovers of all ages, all levels, and all disciplines of riding, along with instructors and judges.

Dorothee Schneider (GER) urged riders to be introspective and to improve themselves. "If you improve yourself, you automatically improve your horse," she commented.

Through her lengthy history of service and dedication to USDF, evidenced by her tenure as USDF Region 8 Director and participation on numerous USDF committees throughout the years, and her continued service as a board member of The Dressage Foundation and Vice President of Dressage4Kids, Fern exemplifies a lifetime of dedication to both USDF and the sport, making her so deserving of this recognition.

The goal of the Dressage 4 Kids Winter Intensive Training Program is to give opportunities for youth riders to participate in consistent and extensive training not only in riding, but in all areas of horse care, riding and training theory, and competition skills.
