Coatesville, PA – Champion carriage driver Suzy Stafford is prepared for a busy summer of doing what she loves best—competing in driving competitions and passing her remarkable skills on to others. With a record of victories that includes winning a FEI Live Oak International CDE and the title of World Champion in both Morgan Carriage Driving and Friesian English Pleasure, Stafford could obviously be a valuable resource to carriage drivers across the country. She’s making time throughout the summer to give several clinics to help fellow carriage drivers excel at their sport. Stafford’s drive to succeed and love for horses have enabled her to overcome any obstacles in her way throughout her equestrian career, whether they be obstacles in the competition ring or obstacles in her personal life. She was originally involved in dressage and combined training, but was forced to permanently give up riding due to a leg injury. Stafford enthusiastically took on the challenge of transferring her talent to carriage driving. In 2004, she became the youngest and first American driver ever to win Individual Gold in an international driving competition.

She is now known for being an accomplished driver, trainer, instructor, and clinician. This summer, Stafford will be offering the following clinics:

  • July 9: Cones Schooling Clinics at Stafford Carriage Driving in Coatesville, PA (Contact Suzy ponydriverss@aol.com
  • July 11-13: Clinic in Cedar Rapids, IA (Contact Laurie Renda at (319) 360-1078 or laurie@touchofclassinc.com

She looks forward to the challenges that await, including showing in the World Single Horse Championships in Hungary. Competing in this show is a goal she has been dedicated to working towards with her Morgan mare PVF Peace Of Mind (called “Hunny”). Stafford’s upcoming show schedule is the following:
