Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center will hold its 4th Annual "Buck Off," and the 1st Annual Texas Hold'Em Poker Tournament at The White Horse Fashion Cuisine for three consecutive Thursdays starting January 16th. Teams made up of 4 riders will compete each week for a spot in the mechanical bull riding "Championships" that will be held at the Vinceremos Annual Dinner and Auction at the IPC Pavilion on February 7th, 2014. "Buck Off" participants will be scored by four celebrity judges based on riders style and skill. Individual scores are accumulated for a team total, a perfect score of 400 points being the maximum. The team with the highest score each week will earn a spot in the Championships and earn the chance to compete against last year's "Buck Off" Champions, Sticky Buns.The entry fee for each team is a $100 donation to Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center.
This year a Texas Hold'Em Poker Tournament has been added for those competitors who prefer to "Buy In" rather than "Buck Off." Each evening will include three poker tables with ten seats available, the cost to buy in is $50.00 per player. The winning player each Thursday will advance to the Final table on February 7th. Each additional player will be given points based on their remaining chips and can add this score to any other points earned by playing the following week. The 3 winning players from each Thursday and the 6 players with the highest points accrued over the three nights will advance to the finals, to be held in conjunction with the "Buck Off" Championships. The Texas Hold 'Em finals will host ten seats, nine players will earned their places at the preliminary rounds and the 10th spot will be auctioned off the night of the finals at 7 pm. So sharpen your spurs and bring your poker face, January 16, 23, 30 at The White Horse. Warm ups at 6:30 for a 7pm start.
