USPRE Is Now Accepting Applications for 2013 Dressage Scholarships - The Deadline to Appy is Tuesday, December 1, 2012!!

 

For those wishing to apply for the 2013 Dressage Scholarships, be sure that you get all materials in as soon as possible. A member of the USPRE Advisory Board will lead the committee for selection of USPRE Scholarship Riders. **PLEASE NOTE: Applications apply for one horse/one rider combination. OWNER or RIDER of the horse must be a USPRE Member. Horse must be registered with LG/ANCCE (PRE Studbook) and registered with USDF (United States Dressage Federation) in the USPRE All Breeds Program. Non-PREs are not accepted. Horses registered with USDF under other associations/registries will not be accepted. Please submit a cover letter and resume, copies of two (2) tests completed by applicant with PRE horse, and a show or schooling video to United States PRE Association, 11360 Fortune Circle, Suite E5, Wellington, Florida 33414.Please see criteria for submissions below:
JUNIOR/YOUNG RIDER $1500.00
Applicant must be 21 years of age or younger and riding a PRE horse. The rider does not need to own a PRE horse. The scholarship may be used only to educate the rider when riding the PRE horse, and may be aplied to the fees and expenses incured to that end.

PROFESSIONAL RIDER – $2000.00
Applicant must be over 21 years of age and competing a PRE horse. The rider does not need to own a PRE horse, but it is very important the professional is teaching and riding the PRE horse and actively competing with it. The scholarship can be used only for the training and educatio of the PRE horse, and may be applied to the fees and expenses incurred to that end.

AMATEUR RIDER – $1500.00
To apply the person has to be a registered Amateur rider with a valid USEF Amateur card. The Amateur rider has to own the PRE horse and the scholarship may be used only to educate the rider when riding the PRE horse, and may be aplied to the fees and expenses incurred to that end.

Deadline for Applications is December 1, 2012. Scholarship Recipients will be announced by 1 January 2013.
