The Driving Sport Committee continues to serve the combined driving community by dedicating their time and efforts to overseeing the following governance responsibilities:

  • Reviewed and approved various Emerging Driver Program grants
  • Reviewed and approved various Licensed Officials travel grants
  • Reviewed 2023 revisions to the Licensed Officials Policies & Procedures
  • Collaborated with Heather Briggs, U.S. representative serving on the FEI Driving Committee
  • Reviewed and commented on USEF general rule change proposals
  • In process of finalizing a new Intermediate Singles Driven Dressage Test that will improve the progression from the Intermediate division to the new Novice Advanced or FEI 2* singles level
  • Reviewed applicant feedback and recommended Suzy Stafford as Singles Coach for the FEI Driving World Championship for Single Horses
  • Reviewed the budget for FEI Driving World Championships
  • Approved 2023 National Championship bid document and qualification criteria for athletes/equines

  • 2023 FEI proposed rule revisions – provided by the FEI on July 6
  • World Championship selection of Land Rover U.S. Driving Teams for Single & Four-in-Hand Horses
  • 2023 USEF rule revisions for the Combined Driving (DC) Chapter
  • 2023 FEI Driving Calendar
  • 2023 National Championship host allocations
